Pull a Nine

To do something incredibly, obivously stupid, even when you know better.

IE: as in Client Nine from 2008 Governor-Gate in NY

To scavenge or salvage from discarded or refuse material an item to complete a project for which it was not originally designed.

I had to Scrudge up a Thingamabob to fix that whatchamacallit.
