PTA

Pulled from Thin Air: Making an unsubstantiated guess without any prior experience or knowledge on the subject. Similar to a Wild Ass Guess (WAG), except that a WAG involves at least general prior knowledge before the guess.

This year my sales sales quota was based a bit on last years results, but mostly on PTA.
