The best type of weather. CAVOK is an abbreviation often used in meteorogical aerodrome reports (METAR), which stands for Clouds And Visibility OK. Simplified, it implies that there are no clouds significant for pilots to keep in mind, and will make for an nice day of flying.

Severe CAVOK is an unofficial term jokingly made up by pilots, which used to describe a day when it is sunny, no clouds, no wind, and a comfortable air temperature.
