A true Skater belongs to one of the many sub-cultures such as Goths, Townies, Punks etc. A Skater is a pure blooded skateboarder, not a poser wh carries a skateboard but never ridden it, Skaters are good at skateboarding. Now the way I see it is like there are two different types of true Skater:

1) They wear baggy clothes and chains on their jeans, these are normally the street skaters.

2) They wear all the great skate makes such as Hawk, Element and such.

Both these different types of Skater can exist together fine and despite what others say the Skaters round my area don't hate Inline Skaters they can actually be friends or even use a board as well as skates sometimes such as my friend Josh.

A skater is NOT a punk, they don't wear striped socks or tight jeans, though I have nothing against punks.

To sum it up I think the idea of these sub-cultures is kinda silly 'cause hating someone for what they wear, it's almost racist and I don't like, racism. Oh except Townies they would prats even if they didn't wear all their tracksuits and that.
Skater 1: Yo, did you catch the 360 kickflip I did down those stairs near the bus stop yesterday.

Skater 2: Yeah dude, that was wicked, seriously.
