Also called "cleans". Used mostly in the metalcore and post-hardcore community to describe regular singing, as some artists/bands in these genres often use screamed/growled vocals alongside regular singing.

Sometimes also called "Sweetcore". Pop Screamo refers to a non-existent style of music that became popular in the early-mid 2000's with band like Thursday, Saosin, Chiodos and Senses Fail. It's known to combine emo-pop hooks with mid-high range screaming and aggressive, sometimes metal-inspired riffs. This definition is wrong, however, and most bands associated with it are post-hardcore.

A derogatory term used in metal and hardcore communities to describe a wave of metalcore and post-hardcore bands from the late 00's and early 10's. Commonly these bands include melodic singing (sometimes autotuned) alongside screamed and/or growled vocals, use of synthesizers and other electronic elements, simple breakdowns etc. These bands are also stereotyped as generic and unoriginal. The origin of the name is from the record label Rise Records who are known to sign and promote these bands.
