Similar to ace, but is appearing as a description of someone instead of describing something you can do well (as in “she’s an ace at driving”). If you’re an ace you’re good at something. If you’re an ais you’re good at being human.

Ais means to be an outstanding, strong and respectable person. You are top of the line (as in being card number one with “ace”), but still fully human and relatable. You’re no hero, because they also are foolish, but you’re wise and kind. The best one can be. Being an ais is to be the absolute opposite of being an ass.

Pronounced “aise” and seen used as “(AIS)” in chats among European non-native English speakers.
“- He’s a fucking god
- (AIS)
- (y)”

Like its German sibling word “anders”, which means “different”, Anders is unique and quite special.

In his good ways, the Norwegian Anders knows how to balance the kind and the crazy. With a flair for the mysterious, he’s a beast that you cannot avoid desiring. His specialties include, but are not limited to, lifting spirits, crushing capitalism, and keeping you up late at night.

Everyone should have an Anders in their life. It makes it different in such a wonderful way.
- Life’s easy when you know Anders. Then, there’s only him.

- Only Anders could come up with that idea!
