Term used to describe a pre date meeting between two people considering a first date.

This event is an informal encounter such as going for a walk or having a coffee or other beverage in order to determine the suitability of planning a future first date.

Typically, there are no date expectations of this get-together such as door opening, which party pays, or any end meeting salutations.

Hand holding may be considered acceptable during a zero date depending on the meeting circumstances however this must be agreed upon by both parties.

The zero date (ZD) should be considered prior to any first date, eating date, drunk date, nap date , road trip date, hug date, movie date, kiss date, or meet the family date.

Note - dates may be combined together for simplicity but should be kept to a maximum of 3 types of dates per event.
"I'm not sure if I want to go on a date with him. He may be an axe murderer."

"No problem. Just do a Zero date to see if you both connect first."

"Great idea. I'll text him now!"
