('Ne' is pronounced with less stress, for example, 屋根 'yane' is pronounced with the emphasis on the 'ya' sound, not the 'ne'. If 'ne' is said alone, then it should be pronounced in a curt and kind of blunt manner.
'Nee' is pronounced more strongly, such as in お姉さん 'oneesan', where the dominant sound is that of the vowel 'e'. Said alone, it should be pronounced as exactly how it's pronounced in Marukaite Chikyuu.
