loss aversion

(business psychology) Psychological trick/practice used in video-games, where players obtain items, but are later threatened to lose those items if they do not pay. This practice gave birth to more subtle battlepasses.
Yep, that game just took that seasonal premium item from me...dirty loss aversion tactic, I'm uninstalling this crap.
