When someone proves that he/she was first person to hear of a band, clothing store, etc. esp. if its a competition between two alleged hipsters.

Person #1: I heard of this cool new band. It's called Arcade Fire.

Person #2: I knew about Arcade Fire before "Funeral" came out.

Person #1: Uhh...

Person #2: You just got hipster'd.

Sudden and/or unexpected death caused by failing to take into consideration one's surroundings and environment in the pursuit of being cool.

Jamie and his hipster friends were jamming with their acoustic guitars in the street in Pamplona during the running of the bulls. They died a hipster death.

John had his loose toque pulled down too low over his eyes when he went for a walk. He wandered right into the middle of the street and was hit by a car which resulted in his hipster death

hipster daily

Daily newspaper whose main audience are hipsters, students and other middle-class pseudo-intellectuals. Usually "liberal" in the sense of pseudo-left and fashion-left. Writers often try smugly to appear witty and clever. Regularly with product placement for "rebell fashion" like Apple.

Basically any developed country has a hipster daily which are usually referred as "quality newspaper".

I had a major Hipster Disaster this morning, the line for my morning latte was a block long.

The barista at the Blue Bottle got his beard stuck in the latte foamer, total Hipster Disaster.

hipster dancing

When people, namely hipsters, 'dance' at concerts by standing around, bopping their heads, occasionally tapping there foot and MAYBE once in a while swaying their hips. This is to make sure that they look like they are enjoying themselves but not TOO much because that wouldn't be cool.

hipster douche

n. A uniquely annoying breed of hipster that is particularly skilled at ruining culture. Found in cool cities like Austin, the hipster douche takes self-irony and uselessness to a whole new level. Often seen wearing a flip brim cap and plaid, the hipster douche may pass judgment on (or ignore) anything under the sun with absolutely no knowledge of it. One may not, however, criticize him.

Example:

Hipster 1: Hey, here comes Wyatt!

Hipster 2: Wait, he just walked right past us… what a hipster douche!
