The Hour between 3 am and 4 am. Called this because this is the time that the most people die in their sleep in hospitals. Significant because this is also the time that people are generally sleeping deepest, so things are quietest.

The robbers chose to wait till the dead hour to break into the store, because there would be no-one to see them, and no-one would wake up.

Dead hour

The hour, usually one hour before the closing time of any club, where somehow, for some reason, a man is no longer able to score women anymore. This is usually caused by one or more of the following factors:

1) The man is too drunk
2) All women are already taken by other men prior to dead hour.
3) It has become too obvious that the man`s sole purpose is directed to scoring the last women that are still available.

There was no point in trying anymore, dead hour had already started ten minutes ago.

Daniel knew he was too late: by the time he wanted to approach her, dead hour had already started.
