Top definition
Approximate a fraction by eliminating any common digit in the numerator and the denominator—which may sometimes give the correct answer—for example, 16/64 = 1/4 (correct), 27/75 = 2/5, 19/95 = 1/5 (correct), and 253/435 = 2/4.
When politicians and presidents don't bother to learn the correct procedure to simplify a fraction, because it takes time and effort, so they trumpoximate the fraction instead—a fake method to simplifying a fraction.
