skuddyhunker

A word used by rural Nova Scotians to refer to people from east of Guysborough (Queensport, White Head, etc). While it is considered derogatory when used by people who don’t live there, it is often used by those who do to refer to each other in a negative light.

1. You know what’s wrong with that fella. He’s just a dirty skuddyhunker

2. Well I says that young feller at the liquor store in town is nothin but an old skuddyhunker me son!
