pillar of society

A sarcastic term used to describe dubious characters or anyone taking more from society than they give. Often shortened to “pillar;” it covers the stereotypical chavs, under-achievers and people from grimy social standings..
Adam: "You hear Joe got nicked for dealing crack?"
Tim: "Pillar of society"

or

Tim: "Kelly just had her 7th kid... she's only 20, never had a job and spends more time in the GUM clinic than Russell brand!"
