Jeju is the largest island of Korea and smallest provence. It is 60Km south of mainland Korea. It is of vocanic origin with the largest mountain being Halla-san. The climate differs from the rest of Korea, Jeju is sub-tropical and has a culture distinct from mainland Korea. The island is famous for its harubang (stone grandfather) statues.
