When a chick decides she is going to give up lame chick emotions, and treat relationships how dudes do. This commonly refers to relationships with the status of "fuck buddies", "friends with benefits", and just general dude style hedonism. The chick needs to be careful not to let her emotions creep up on her, or else dude mode will immediately, and possibly irreversibly, be switched off.
"All my friends and relatives are asking me why I don't have a boyfriend, but I'm just in dude mode right now. I don't want all the drama attached to relationships, I just want to have fun."
