1. Does not use the letter ⟨â⟩ except for the word 'român' and all of its derivatives; e.g. 'România', 'românesc', or 'românism'.
2. Does not use the letter ⟨â⟩ at all, without exception.

The word is derived from the Romanian name of the letter ⟨î⟩, 'î din i' ('î from i'), combined with the the suffix -ist.
