Carlin's Law

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

George Carlin
You are an average person, be happy, according to Carlin's Law, it could be much worse!

Ferrells Law

Ferrells law is the theory that any and every conversation will eventually contain some type of Will Ferrell reference. Weather it’s a direct quote or reference to a Will Ferrell movie. The quote does not have to be an exact quote. It can also be a play off of a Will Ferrell quote:
Shawn: We need more beer.
Jason: I’ve got a fever! And the only prescription is more beer!

(This is an example of an in-direct application of Ferrells law, because it references a skit that contains Will Ferrell)

Shawn: We have no beer
Jason: You sit on a throne of lies:”!
Benjamin: I actually have more beer.
Jason: You’re my boy Blue!
(This is an example of a direct application of Ferrells Law, because it utilizes direct Will Ferrell quotes)

Any Party:

He’s Gonna do one!
We’re going streaking!
It’s so good! Once it touches your lips it’s so good!
Did we just become best friends? Yep!

There is literally no end to examples

Domitri's Law

States that after one notably good day, a bad day always follows.
Guy: Man today sucks! Which is not fair because yesterday was so great.

Friend: That's Domitri's Law, every time you have a good day the next day blows in comparison.

Polly's Law

Any time you are debating on the internet or offline, someone will inevitably bring up trans people as a talking point.

Similar to Godwin's law, which is a rule of internet discourse re: Hitler. Polly's law is an example of a logical fallacy.

Inspired by twitch streamer PollyPeople.
"Yeah, well okay, you're wrong because you support men using the women's bathroom!"
"Stop invoking Polly's Law. Geez."

Cannon Law

"Because" or "Because I said so" A law invoked when asked the question why, after reasons have already been explained or to altogether avoid a question. More commonly used in the business world as a freebie pass to ignore an annoying person's question. Once used by Chris Brown when questioned by media after his release from detainment in PG County, following an assault on a homosexual male. Other celebrities are also using this term. Origination unknown.
i.e. After explaining a long a long marketing scheme in full detail, Jim asks John(the presenter) a stupid or irrelevant question. John simply responds back " thank you for your question, at this time, I am invoking Cannon Law. Next question"

Facebook in-law

The familial or friend relationship that occurs when your friends and family add your significant other, whom they don't really know, to their Facebook friends list just because you two are together.
My boyfriend is now my cousin's Facebook in-law since she added him to her Facebook friends list!
