Addiction

Addiction: A human form of kryptonite. Which will destroy the strongest of people. It doesn’t care about race, class, money, background, or postcode — it takes anyone. Usually it starts with something that gives you instant pleasure or takes the pain and boredom away. Looks like a good deal — but it’s always too good to be true. Not just drugs or booze — sugar, sex, money, gambling, could be anything. It preys on trauma, stress, and pain. You should be fixing it properly, not masking it. It really feels like a bandage, works temporarily, which feels like a godsend. It makes you worse in the long run. Sometimes it starts as a laugh, a bit of fun, and ends up as a life sentence of pain and misery dispare It will keep taking and taking your home, pets, money, job, teeth, health, friends, family, dignity, freedom, even your soul. You name it. When there’s nothing left to take, it takes more — like a dark black hole of doom. In the end, it takes your life and drags everyone around you down with it, like a modern-day crucifixion on a public display for people to judge you with no empathy. What's so ever pure a evil disease.
Lee: Bruv, I’ve seen it too many times, Bruv. People end up dead from addiction.
Frank: People always blame the addict and say it's their choice, but it's heart-breaking to watch.
Lee: Init bruv, we live in the 20th century now, bruv, it's not the dark age anymore to bruv people think it's a big joke. And laugh at these poor souls. The drug wars is a joke to . Bruv, we need to help them not judge or lock them up bruv.
