an error code for the xbox 360 which is often caused by a scaler chip problem. more rare than RRoD but often considered worse due to the fact it isnt coverd by the 3 year warrenty on xbox's

me: "So if I send my 360 in will you fix it?"

xbox careline: "were sorry, but E74 is not covered by the 3 year warrenty, and your normal year is up".
