a band who's first song was released in 1981. depeche mode was part of the new wave scene, breaking into the synth pop genre (now known as "the kings of synth pop") and becoming its kings. Depeche Mode went into the 90's making their fans wiery with their release of Songs of Faith and Devotion, and a split up was almost eminent. 1997's ULTRA was the bands return to fame with the hits "It's No Good" and "Useless". Everyone should buy Depeche Mode's The Singles 86-98 and 81-85, to see the true work of an awesome band.
