A moment of not thinking properly or forgeting to take care of something that was asked of you. Also known as a brain fart, being an air head or space cadet.

Fire Chief: "Did you take care of those items I asked you to last week?"

Firefighter: SILENCE

Fire Chief: "You pulled a Forte didn't you!"
