Anthropropulsion

The use of human physical energy to achieve mobility -- particularly in partnership with machines designed to be propelled by human power.
The Gossamer Condor, which claimed the 1977 Kremer Prize for successfully demonstrating sustained maneuverable manpowered flight, is an example of anthropropulsion.

Further examples are walking, running, bicycling, skateboards, scooters, human-powered wheelchairs, cross-country skiing, kinetic-sculpture races, human-powered flight, human-powered submarines, pedal boats, human-powered hydropeds, swimming.
