1. (n.) tool used for cutting crops such as grass or wheat, with a long curved blade at the end of a pole attatched to which are two short handles.
Also, reaping tool carried by the Grim Reaper.

2. (v.) move through something rapidly and forcefully, or, to harvest with a scythe.
