College student. As used in Somerville Massachusetts (near Boston) circa 1985. Pejorative. Or as it was explained to me at the time by a native: "Bahny, as in bahn yahd, as in havahd yahd." ("Barney, as in Barnyard, as in Harvard Yard.")
