World famous Police Department and the best trained Officers in the world. Officers in this Department have died in the line of duty to protect citizens they dont even know. The creators of D.A.R.E. drug abuse resistant education. Also founders of the S.W.A.T team. special weapons and tactics. involved in a shoot out with the North Hollywood bank robbers. Many LAPD officers were shot , but made sure the bank robbers were stopped...both robbers died. Very diciplined orginization. LAPD Officers cover the largest square miles of any other city while having an understaffed 9000 plus officers.
