Somenone's request for an immediate response to their problem regardless of what else you've got on your plate. Clients, bosses, spouses, etc. all expect jumpage from time to time.

This client expects major jumpage on their pesky little problem!

mum act

The act of not responding when asked an important question, typically via email or voicemail. Often used in the hope that the problem will just go away.

Damn! My boss's is really giving me the mum act about my raise request.
