frhomage

Derived from fromage, the French word for cheese, and homage, in which someone pays respect or tribute to something or someone, a "frhomage" is any form of creative work, such as a movie, play, or book, that pays tribute to another work, style, person, or genre, but in a cheesy, humorous, or otherwise tongue-in-cheek manner. A "frhomage" is similar to a parody, but with more of an emphasis on affection for the source material than ridicule.
Many aspects of Quentin Tarantino's, Kill Bill films are a "frhomage" to the Kung Fu movie genre.
