FMA stands for the Financial Matters Administration. It is the new name of the Wisconsin state Division of Revenue Enforcement Services. It is highly feared in Wisconsin because it is very powerful and forceful. Its main job is to confiscate the property of taxpayers who do not comply with Wisconsin tax law.
The new name is supposed to be more "friendly and happy" which is of course an oxymoron.
