The Maury Show, originally known as the Maury Povich Show, is an American Tabloid Talk-show that is infamous for the host determining someone's Paternity to the infant of an woman accused of being a prostitute, A.K.A, slut. It is a big internet meme, with the phrase "You are (not) the father" being the most iconic point of the show. A website-THIS website-where literally anybody can publish a definition to any word or phrase of their choice, hence the "Urban" in "Urban Dictionary"
What sets Urban Dictionary apart from a normal Dictionary, or searching up on Google, are the variety of interesting definitions for very random words, phrases, and situations. Definitions tend to be very specific, and whereas Google definitions come off as very official and formal, definitions here tend to be informal and blunt. You can find definitions for slang, internet memes, sayings and literally anything else-even the website itself, the error page seen when a word not entered into the site has been searched, and the Mugs that the website advertises, made custom for whatever word you're looking at, have been defined. Definitions also tend to be funny, for the people writing them tend to be sarcastic, and each definition of any single word has a Likes (and dislikes!) counter, which the aim of anyone defining a word on this site is to get the most likes.
People tend to go here in search of the definition of a word in Layman's terms, to better understand the word and how it is used, whereas Google would define the word in a generic, official, and "complicated" way that typically wouldn't be the way any ol' Joe would put it.
