This is a word used for when you know that person is a girl but has a male quality to her body, name, or personality. You would also use this when you hate that bitch, so you call her a shmani just to get back at her for being a attention whore.

Girl # 1: OMG, did u her what 'manuela' did?

Girl # 2: Yea, she is so mean!

Girl # 1: I know she is such a shmani!
