hug

Wrapping your arms around a person and holding them until they say, "Okay you can let go now."

Girl walks up to friend, "I had the worst day ever. I need a hug." Friend steps forward, wraps his/her arms around girl and squeezes slightly. Girl cries. Friend is still hugging girl. Girl sniffles and says, "Thanks. Okay you can let go now." Friend lets go and steps back.
