Hitchhiking.

Comes from the Appalachian Trail, which is blazed white, and side trails blazed blue, so highways are jokingly said to be "blazed" with yellow lines down the middle. Accusing a hiker of yellow blazing their way around a difficult section of the trail is considered insulting.

adj. Term Describing a light-industrial trail (at least a 2-track) found in forests or parks adjacent to hiking trails. Describes a trail of easy terrain, usually circumventing dificult terrain on normal trails.

v. The act of using a non-standard/access road-style trail to bypass dificult terrain on a hike.
