It stands for what would Mr Rogers do? The intention is to ask one's self if Mr Rogers was in a similar situation, what action would he take.

It is a play on the acronym "WWJD" and often used by non-religious people or people who do not want to come across as haughty.
The lady is small dog crazy and everything I could think of to say would probably trigger her so I asked myself WWMRD?

I gave her a big hug and told her that it was okay to be afraid. And when we are afraid we have to look for the helpers.

This is the question one should ask themself when they are having issues especially girl problems. Made popular by the tv show "Friday Night Lights." Riggins is the ladies man of the show.
