Usually refers to a low class white individual who pretends to be better than they are. They go on lavish vacations while their cars are being repossessed. They typically have daughters who give birth before marriage. Many white trash families consist of many children of different fathers. They often live in mobile homes.
White trash often takes credit for every little thing they do, in order to feel better about themselves. It is important to them that they be thought of as upstanding in family and community even though they have never done anything of real value. These people will often blow off any friends they make of true upper standing because they can't stand to see themselves compared, or try to make upperclass friends in order to be thought of by outsiders as being of the same class.

People who use food stamps to buy groceries even though they are completely capable of making a living for themselves. Instead these people choose to multiply and get paid by the government instead to support a family. The children produced become white trash just like their parents. These children will live off food stamps for their entire life, and when they get to college they will use the pell grant not to pay for school or food or items that are necessary for survival but instead will pay to be apart of trashy fraternities, spend all their money on beer, and hookers. These children probably will not make it through college though because they were born into being white trash and never received a proper education causing them to use made up, disgusting sounding words such as y'all and ain't. Then eventually they will reproduce. It's a vicious trashy cycle!
Look at that house children! You can tell the people living there are white trash because of that old ratty sofa sitting on the front porch and the beer bottles littering the front yard. White trash people are a bigger problem to our society than crack heads! Remember children as long as you do okay in school and are at least a little tiny bit motivated you'll never end up being white trash. Also, you'll never be wasting others tax dollars to support yourself due to overwhelming laziness often caused by they obesity due to too much fried chicken and fried okra. Also, you won't hold up grocery lines when trying to determine what you are allowed to buy at the grocery store with your food stamps.

originally used to Describe poor white people , this phrase has evolved to describe vulgarity in lifestyle and priorities irrespective of economic status.today's white thrash may be "educated"in the sense that they attended college but are ignorant about the world,politics or history,Don't read,have no table manners and think Las Vegas is a classy vacation destination.They need to impress by wearing "brand names",paying money for the privilege of advertising clothing or accessories which they believe are "classy".They lease cars that take up the 30% of their income left over after their mortgage or rent (at least 50%) ,max out their credit cards and make minimum monthly payments,often falling behind on their debt.Saving money is a low priority and "if you can make the payments you can afford it"is the motto.They are unaware or not interested in global issues but know detailed sports statistics (men) and all the gossip aBout so called celebrities (women).Most think David Copperfield is a magician,nEver having heard of the book.Their children are usually their friends, growing up with no boundaries or discipline.Spelling and grammar are typically optional extras for the whole family.
