West New York, New Jersey is a town with a huge population in the state of New Jersey. Inside of Hudson County next to Union City and Jersey City. The small city is mostly of hispanic races ranging from Puerto Ricans, Columbians, Dominicans, Equadorians, Mexicans, etc. Although it used to be mostly of Cuban and Italian origins. There is a high rate of gangs in the small city, and the only public high school named Memorial High School has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the country. The West New York Public School system is considered an Abbot School District in New Jersey meaning it is of low standards compared to the rest of the state along with public schools in Newark, Jersey City, Camden, Paterson, Trenton, New Brunswick, East Orange, Elizabeth, and Union City. West New York is inside the 201 area code in Northern New Jersey. It is also in Hudson County that is one of the ghetto counties along with Essex County. Because West New York is in Northern New Jersey it is heavily influenced by New York City while Southern New Jersey is influenced by Philadelphia. West New York, NJ has popular streets like Bergenline Ave. that stretches through all of W.N.Y. and Union City. Bergenline holds parades, and has a variety of stores. Kennedy Boulevard and Palisades Avenue are the nicer areas in West New York, unlike areas like Broadway Avenue and Hudson Avenue.

If your in North Jersey you may have a New York-Like accent, If your in South Jersey Philly is your city and you talk more like them. Not all people have accents because most people move here from other Countries, and Regions of the U.S. I tend to say "Worter" instead of "Water". I also Say "Caaary" instead of "Carry." and "Nevahdah" instead of "Nevada". We mostly don't have strong accents though and remember NO ONE EVERY SAYS JOISEY.

These four towns lie to the western portion of Essex county, greatly differing from their poorer eastern neighbors such as Newark, Irvington, and Nutly. West essex is a very / one of the most affluent areas in new Jersey. The towns share a regional high school, usually ranked high in the state. West Essex is thought to be more snobby than their "rival" neighbor caldwell which is known to be well off yet, alot less affluent than the west essex area even though residents of west essex travel into caldwell and west caldwell on a daily basis. West essex is close in proximity to New York City, and taxes are known to be the highest in the county. Contrary to some residents beliefs that fairfield is a more "guido" town the taxes still maintain higher levels than those of roseland. There is an increasingly large spirit and love for new jersey in this area. Home of the Sopranos, great restaurants, many celebrities, NJ sports team players, especially Devils players. The kids in these towns tend to be stuck up and spoiled, and they are not ashamed of it at all wearing the best clothing labels and driving brand new cars they got as a present from mommy and daddy which they most likely crashed multiple times and their parents just got them new ones anyway. A predominantly white town that crowds the shore AKA sleazeside on mdw and prom weekend. Think country clubs and pizzerias.
