A "tow-in gate" is an airplane gate where a tow tractor is required to pull planes to a gate before the passengers can leave the plane, usually either because the pilot can't safely maneuver to it or because the jet blast would cause a high risk to nearby equipment or personnel. Damn it, we can't get off this plane for another hour, because we arrived at a tow-in gate!
