Similar to a "snap show", the snap flex-down is when someone who has lost their cool attempts to intimidate or resolve the problem they are in by flexing their muscles at the subject. Typically, the bicep, pectoral, trapezius and latissimus muscles are used in this approach in combination or isolation. The snap effect can be achieved with angry faces, yelling, screaming or a complete strip-down of all clothes.
Mike was kicked out of the bar after he threw a punch at the bouncer for hitting on his boyfriend. Enraged, he took his shirt off and used the "snap flex-down" technique outside the door to intimidate the bouncer into not coming outside.
