Great song from Southern Rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1973 debut album "Pronounced (Leh-nerd Skin-nerd)" Written by singer Ronnie Van Zant and guitarist Gary Rossington. The Shinedown version is awful. Sorry. Simple Man is the best song Skynyrd ever recorded.
