Possum's Tangle 

A sticky, problematic situation where the outcome is unknown and could lead to unforeseen consequences. A slang definition of a dilemma.

"I was trying to drive down the interstate but the traffic was terrible, then I heard there was a possum's tangle a few miles out."

This is martial arts technique developed by Ryan Joseph Patterson and the Patterson brothers . Where an individual being beat mercilessly falls to the ground and lays in the fetal position and pretends to be dead in hopes that the beating will subside.
