The tendency to help others in danger without hesitation, especially when bystanders tend to hesitate. In situations where others are too embarrassed or confused to intervene, someone with this tendency doesn't think twice about stepping in. It is putting oneself in harms way in public places where others tend to fail to help.
When the old man fell from his wheelchair at the traffic light, Emily was the first to rush to help before we even knew what was happening. And this is not the first time I've seen her react so fast. This is positive vigilantism in action!
