A kind of approach to working wherein a person takes on multiple jobs, whether or not they are in related fields, usually to diversify their skillset and maximize their income. As the term emerged from headlines in articles published by major news outlets, the term was quickly construed to refer to the fact that many
people in lower-income working-class families see one individual working two - or maybe three - jobs to just barely have enough to get by. From there, it quickly spiraled into being seen as a buzzword used by capitalists to justify the income inequality needed to force
people to
work that much to survive, seeing as it always took a neutral to positive tone throughout each and every piece that claimed that working multiple jobs is good for you, actually!
To put it simply, it'
s some real
bullshit used to skrt around the idea that one
job should make you enough
money to live comfortably. The term is putting the idea that
people working several jobs is a recent affair that is done with full consent and enthusiasm that are being manufactured in real time.
Paired with the idea that being tired all the fucking time is a great privilege, it makes millennials and gen z seem like whiny little entitled
bitches for suggesting that we should change how the systems of the world
work to not suck ass, thus furthering the pointless generational war and the death of the planet and humanity.
