pinkie swear

A promise made between two people, more common among young people or children, sealed by shaking hands -- except only with pinkie fingers. The idea is that if the deal is broken, the culprit will lose his or her pinkie finger.

The pinkie or pinky finger is the smallest, or farthest from the thumb. Also spelled pinky swear.
"I swear I won't tell anyone!"
"Do you pinkie swear?" (holds out pinkie finger)
"Pinkie swear." (hooks pinkies together and shakes)

Pinkie Pie Swear

Pinkie Pie swear/promise used in the episode "Green Isn't Your Color" of MLP:FiM. It goes like this: Cross my heart (cross your heart) and hope to fly (mimic the act of flapping wings by moving wrists) stick a cupcake in my eye (pretend to smash said pastry into your eyeball). Said by both Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle.
Pinkie Pie: Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! (Pinkie Pie Swear)

Twilight Sparkle: Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my--AAH! (Pinkie Pie Swear fail)
