Partiac Arrest

Partiac Arrest occurs after a long, hard night of partying.

Symptoms include blurry vision, disturbed balance, heavy sweating, and overall numbness.

The body usually shuts down temporarily, but in some odd cases, permanently.
Dude, it looks like Charger is about to suffer from Partiac Arrest. We better get him to a couch STAT!

Partisan Sniping

A political tactic in which the most fervent or extremist member(s) of a politically-motivated group are singled out in a debate, in order to establish unfavorable contrast within said group.
The senate's health-care debate has, so far, been dominated by partisan sniping and finger-pointing; hence, they have made very little progress.

Partisan Hack

Someone who cares more about supporting a particular party or ideology than supporting what is morally right, or factually true.
You may be a partisan hack if:
- the other side is to blame totally for all that is wrong in the country.
- you think its o.k. for judges to legislate from the bench as long as it coincides with your position.
- you won't admit the opposing party probably has as many good and as many bad ideas as your own favorite party.

partial day

Used as a substitute for 'half day' in the context of attending work. The purpose is to be vague, so as to not obligate yourself to actually being present for at least half the work day.
He's taking a partial day today, so he'll probably show up at 3pm and leave at 5.
