It's origin is from the southwestern region of Nigeria, where Yoruba dialect is spoken. It is a name that means " Wealth has found a place to live in the bearer's life". commonly given to male child and it is a very unique name that carries such a wealthy meaning. Apparently derived from the Yoruba word "Ola" which means "wealth, possession, bounties, blessings" and "Ribigbe" means finding a place to reside.

This word can also be used to describe unusual or disturbing acts performed in public situations such as: publicly braiding yours or others' armpit hair, heroically catching flies with your mouth, weaving goat shaped baskets, interpretive dancing at a funeral, rubbing yourself against trees that have clearly told you that they are not interested, etc.
