To manipulate everybody's memory of an event by telling your own skewed version of the story over and over until you are remembered being a hero and doing something amazing that warrants people retelling the story for years to come
Instead of taking responsibility for his evil ways, he would memmanip all his stories till everyone forgot the truth and remembered him being a hero and saving the day.
