Malaria is caused by the plasmodium parasite, mainly found in africa but can be found anywhere mosquitos live.
Even though feared by many, malaria has a fairly low death rate,and can be easily prevented.
Its life cycle begins when an infected mosquito bites an uninfected human, it infects the human, then if an unifected mosquito bites an infected host, the life cyclee repeats
Malaria can be easilyprevented by using mosquito repellent and mosquito nets at night. One thing your lucky that it is fairly common it is one of the less serious mosquito born diseases

Malarials 

Malarials are a millennial contracted disease caused by enlightenment through the age of social media. Malarials often exude utopian type ideals of social equality through marginalizing as well as state run education and healthcare. Left untreated, they may swarm you with their problems while shielding themselves in safe spaces.

These malarials are everywhere. They spread their complaints throughout society, but never actually fix anything.

Muni Malaria 

General term for any of a number of cold or flu maladies that you get from riding San Francisco's crowded and poorly ventilated Muni Trains.

"Ugh... I think I'm coming down with Muni Malaria. I probably got it from the tiny Asian lady with no sense of personal-space who kept coughing on me on my commute yesterday morning. The garlic bagel she had for breakfast wasn't very appetizing while being sneezed into my face."
