On a globe the following route (travelling always on great circles) describes a juanagon: begin at the North pole, travel to the equator, travel 90 degrees due West, travel to the South pole, turn right (counter clockwise) 90 degrees, travel to the equator, travel due West 90 degrees and then travel to the North Pole.
