The act of becoming too attached to a new found significant other in an unusually brief period of time, generally accompanied by nonstop texting, facebook makeout pictures, and a lack of contact with regular friend groups.
Brandon: "Andrew's hung out with his new girlfriend everyday since they started dating. He turned down going out with the guys to stay in and watch Friends reruns with her. He even took her out to a $200 dinner on their second date. They've only known each other two weeks!"
Frank: "Wow, that's a bad case of instawhip."
