A morphing of "information" and "frustration". this word reflects an (often) intense feeling of stress (verging on anxiety) that is increasingly experienced and/or suffered by those individuals who, through work or leisure, are bombarded with information, typically but not always web-based. This feeling develops and intensifies when individuals cannot retain, remember and/or adequately process escalating amounts of information available in today's society. can escalate into chronic info-stration.
I'm losing it...I just cannot keep up. Live radio/TV feeds from anywhere, 24-hour running news tickers, online magazines/libraries on any academic pursuit, passwords and accounts for 50+ travel, bank and online member services....it's too much! Someone save me from this, this...info-stration!
